Taming the devil machine

First of all we would like to thank all the visitors who were home on Sunday to show in our house. The nice conversations have been fun and let the dull day look like a little friendly. Particularly affectionate greetings go to Herborn! :-) The day has also shown us again that we are not alone with our previous experience ...

Today we began with the grinding of the concrete and this lent a single grinding machine from the hardware store (for local knowledge: Hercules Baumarkt in Herborn recommendation.!) The first try saw something like this as with the colleagues here ;-)

Later we have the devil machine tame but can and are finished with the entire ground floor. With the result We are actually pretty pleased. Actually, it all depends on, to lean towards the device sensitive, the rest is like magic. We have still two notches milled into the dining room, and there has to repair the tile ;-)

yesterday started preparations for the external cleaning, meaning it was filled with foam, cleaned up the scaffolding again and fill in the background and rendered, where necessary. On the second picture you can see where the cigar band is still available and where it was already plastered. We assume that the preparations are completed early next week and hope that the paint is applied in good weather during the week :-)

popular request ;-) again a few pictures from the current status of our project: the excavation in front of the house is finally complete, the result is unfortunately not as nice as before. But we wanted to finally settle accounts with our civil engineers to conclude this unpleasant chapter. The fine work we leave it to someone that we trust more. At least
